· Identify and approach potential clients in industries requiring charcoal products (flakes/powder, briquettes, pellets,). Conduct market research to identify new opportunities.
· Sales of equipment used to make charcoal and products.
· Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
· Prepare detailed quotations, negotiate terms, and close deals. Ensure pricing is competitive while maintaining profitability.
· Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Develop strategies to drive sales growth and expand market reach
· Set up meetings with potential clients, listen to their wishes and concerns, and deliver appropriate presentations.
· Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
· Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
· Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
· Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
· Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
· Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
· Maintain a database of potential clients and their status.
Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
· At least 4+ years’ experience and proven track record in sales, particularly in the machinery or industrial equipment sector.
· Prior experience in the charcoal (flakes/powder, briquettes, pellets) and activated carbon industry is preferred. Familiarity with charcoal production, distribution, and market dynamics is an advantage. (desirable)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and empathy.
· Proficient in negotiating terms and closing deals while maintaining positive client relationships.
· Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
· Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
· Comfortable using sales and CRM software, and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
· Knowledge of import-export procedures and regulations. (desirable)
